Contemporary Worship Service

New Connection logoFirst United Methodist Church offers a contemporary worship service every Sunday at 8:45 a.m.  Our Fellowship Hall is the perfect place for a more casual atmosphere, but we are certainly not casual about our worship!  Live band music rocks the space as we sing our praises to God and fill our hearts with the joy of His presence.  Children are always invited to clap and sing along and take part in readying our souls for the Word.  Our Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor take turns preaching at each service after the little ones are dismissed for Children's Church.

Join us at 8:30 for coffee, juice, doughnuts and fellowship before the Contemporary Service begins.  Wear your comfy casuals and a willing spirit to learn what God has in store for you!
Meet the Bands
Narrow Road Band
The Narrow Road Band is the lead band for the New Connection Worship Service.  Band leader Page Dionne has poured his heart and soul into developing a music program that will appeal to all ages and spans contemporary Christian rock to soulful Country and Western gospel.  Every member of Narrow Road is focused on volunteering their God-given talents to lead a worship service that gets people up and moving and excited about the Word.

Generations Band
The Generations Band truly spans the ages from the young to the young at heart and typically leads the worship once a month during the New Connection Contemporary Service through a wide variety of musical styles.  Don't be surprised if you hear praises to God set to a Caribbean or rock and roll beat followed by a re-mixed, old favorite hymn.  This group of band members works hard to bring to light the Grace of God and the amazing talent in all generations of our church family.  By His Grace this group was brought together, and to His Glory all music and praises are lifted up!
2nd Connection
2nd Connection Small Group
The 2nd Connection meets at 10:05 a.m. immediately following the New Connection Service in the Fellowship Hall.  For more information about this small group fellowship, please contact Doug McFarland or Page Dionne
