Organized in 1883 by 13 charter members, First United Methodist Church is the oldest church in Enterprise. Today, people of diverse interests from all over our city and country come to work and worship at First United Methodist Church. Military and civilian, new visitors and lifelong residents, young and old, all come together to help us provide a varied program for ministry here in Enterprise. We believe that the church is the people, and our facilities and programs are granted to us to help meet the needs of people. Whether you’re just in town for a visit, or are searching for a new church home, we’re delighted to have you here.
Our purpose is to do the work of Christ, by seeking to embody his likeness and live the life of humble service he lived. In order to accommodate the desire for different styles of worship at a variety of times we offer two Contemporary Services in our Fellowship Hall (8:45 & 11:00) as well as two Traditional Services in our Sanctuary (8:30 & 11:00).
We’re all about Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus was who he said he was, the Son of God who came and died for our sins. So if this is your first time in church, we hope that you get to know Him as we do, because He’s truly what life is all about for us!
We’re all about people…we are the church! Every person who walks through our doors is important to us, so if you ever feel like just another number, we’re doing something wrong and you need to let us know. As a group of God’s people we care about you and your family and we’re here not only to feed you spiritually, but to help in any way we can. We love doing it and it’s why we exist!
We’re all about relationships both here and in the greater community. We are called by God to go and make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We hope to cultivate and grow meaningful and positive relationships between one another and with those in the world, but also go further by continually growing and strengthening our relationship with God. Christianity is all about our relationship with a Person, Jesus, and how that influences our lives and actions in the world around us.
We thank you for your interest in EFUMC and invite you to become a part of our fellowship in service to Jesus Christ our Lord.
