Our Purpose:

The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as a whole person through Jesus Christ;  to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to participation in the Global Ministries of the Church.

Our  unit has seven circles that meet at various times to accommodate the needs of all women in the church.  Review the information on each circle, visit, and choose the one that is right for you.

Circle One

Our current membership represents a wide range of ages.  We meet the second Wednesday of the month at 11am in various restaurants.  The hostess member selects the restaurant and program.   We enjoy an inspirational devotional, given by the chairlady and enlightening program given buy the hostess or her guest.  A dutch treat luncheon follows.  We welcome and encourage newcomers to join us.  Contact Joyce Barr at 347-6734 for more information.

Circle Two

We in Circle Two want to share our Christian fun with new comers and old comers.  We welcome anyone, but we all qualify for AARP.   We require your presence- not your presents!  We don't even ask for your program participation.  Jane King leads our programs Voluntarily each month.  Our members willingly accept our part of UMW work because we enjoy working together and playing together.   Our meetings are in the Church Parlor at 10:00 A.M. on the second Monday of each month.  Our meetings are brief.  Come join us for good Christian Fellowship!  Contact Edna Brown at 347-0134 for our next meeting site.

Circle Three

Circle Three meets the third Wednesday of each month in member's homes at 9:30 A.M.  Our circle consists of a mixed aged group of women who enjoy casual morning meetings.  Our programs are of various Christian interests selected by the presenting member - all on a volunteer basis.  We are an active group of ladies who enjoy serving the First United Methodist Church however possible.  Contact Bonnie Gilmore at 308-9821 or Joan McCormack at 393-6946 for more information.

Circle Four

Circle Four is composed of younger women who work at home and outside the home.  We enjoy a devotional each meeting with discussion on issues that provide insight to being a Godly wife, mother and daughter.  We meet the second Monday of each month at 6:30 P.M. in a member's home for light refreshments and fellowship.  We welcome all!  Contact Felicity Robinette at 393-0571 for more information.

Circle Six

Circle Six is a multi-age group including business women, educators, homemakers and retirees.  Our love for God, Church and community binds us together.  We work well as a group and each member contributes.  Time is an important commodity so we have to make plans and decisions quickly and carry them out efficiently.  We enjoy meeting in our homes in an easy, comfortable environment.  We welcome your to visit our meetings and join us.  Circle Six meets the first Monday of each month at 7:00 P.M.  Call Laurel Akin at 347-5336 to find out about our next meeting. 

Circle Seven

Circle 7 is a multi-age group of women, most of whom are employed in career fields outside the home.  We currently have 16 members who are seeking to do God's work on a daily basis.  We enjoy meeting in homes and learning about God's will for our lives through Devotions and/or programs.  We meet the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 P.M.  We invite and welcome visitors and new members Call Kay Knop at 347-8853, or Carol Seitz at 347-9034, for more information.

Circle Nine

We are a varied group of women ranging in age from New Moms to Grand Moms!  We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 9:00 A.M. in members homes.  Light refreshments are provided by the hostess.  We currently have 13 members and are looking for more!  Our programs are all biblically based and so timely for the active, busy and often hectic schedules that we find ourselves in.  We are committed to helping needy families throughout the year.  Come join us.  Call Nancy Riegle at 393-9213 for more information.
