Our unit of United Methodist Women has six circles that meet at various times to accommodate the needs of most women in our church. Some of the benefits of membership include hands-on mission work in our local community, mission education experiences, leadership development and training opportunities, support for women, children and youth, and partnership with women in mission in the United States and around the world. We are involved in prayer, study, and action in local and global mission. Our circles help form close friendships and offer support as we grow in our Christian journeys. We would love for you to join us!

The mission of the United Methodist Men (UMM) at Enterprise First United Methodist (EFUMC) is to support spiritual growth among men, helping men to mature as disciples as they encourage spiritual formation in others. Our goal is to empower the ministry of Jesus Christ through men within our congregation. Our pathway is a lifelong commitment to spiritual growth and maturity as Christ followers. Our spiritual formation is marked by spiritual reproduction, as our faith passes on in others.
The ministry of men in our church is defined as a core group of men, partnering with our pastors, to invite and initiate spiritual growth opportunities for all men of the church. Everyone has different gifts, graces and areas of interest. Therefore, opportunities for participation would include diverse ministries of the church, such as prayer groups, missions, outside work projects, Bible studies, retreats, music ministry, workshops/seminars, Lay Speaking, leading and participating on committees, teaching Sunday school classes, youth ministries, scouting, mentoring and assisting in leading worship service. The focus is not inward, concentrating only on those who attend a set meeting, but outward to all men, assisting them to engage the process of spiritual growth.
UMM’s major event is the annual Pancake Breakfast which is held in October in conjunction with Enterprise Downtown Fall Festive. The funds raised from this event are used to support the financial needs of many church projects. These include our Boy Scout Troop 99, Cub Scout Pack 99 that we sponsor, Upward Sports program, Family Life Center’s Golf Tournament, Lenten Devotion, spring annual landscape cleanup, Bread and Fish, Karl Stiegel Foundation, and help with other events and needs around the church.
All men of EFUMC are considered members of UMM and there are no dues required to be a member and our monthly breakfast meeting is held at 7:00 am on the 4th Sunday of each month except for November and December when we meet on the 3rd Sunday also at 7:00am and all breakfast meetings are held in the Youth Building Main Hall. Each month our breakfast includes fellowship, short meeting and program that is present by guest speakers that bring us up to date of the activities we support throughout the year and other areas of interest where we may be able to provide service. Any questions contact Allen Dunham at 334-347-2075.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer Shawls originated in the Old Testament and were used during worship and
private prayer time. Prayer shawls are hand crocheted and given to people in need,
people experiencing health issues, and for baptisms. These shawls have been prayed
over and are an amazing ministry to those in our church and community.
